Limousine doors - specialty

CUSTOM LIMOUSINE DOORS

 http://www.exoticcoachcustoms.com/

It’s no secret that limo operators, customers and manufactures love the look of a custom door on a limousine. In an industry of competitive advantages, tricking out the doors is just another way of saying,

“LOOK AT ME WORLD, IM BETTER”!

CUSTOM GULL WING DOORS

Well if that’s what you’re looking to do, EC Customs is the perfect place. Here are few things to consider before you make that leap.

LAMBO DOORS
Although lambo styled doors have been around for several years, they are still appreciated by customers and limo enthusiasts. They range from $900 to $1,800 depending on the type of kit and vehicle. Read carefully…NEVER LET AN AMATEUR INSTALL A DOOR KIT OF ANY KIND ON YOUR VEHICLE. Custom lambo doors are not terribly difficult to install but can easily be messed up if you don’t consider all of the details. Some kits are weld on and some are direct bolt on. We highly recommend the bolt on. In most cases, door kits will claim to fit perfectly. Rest assured that this is never the case. There are always necessary modifications required depending on the vehicle the kit is being installed on. Quick tip: If you live in a cold weather climate, have your kit powder coated. Steel kits will rust very fast.

GULL WING DOORS
These have been the latest craze in the limousine industry. They look amazing; allow for more room for entry and customers love them. Custom gull wing limo doors can be rather costly and time consuming to install. Just the body work alone can take several extra days. Proper alignment, leak testing and sound proofing are all key components that add to the success of a quality install. We utilize the newest and most reliable hydraulic/electrical actuators to give our doors a crazy twist.

SUICIDE DOORS
These doors have been around for a long time but you won’t find them on too many limos. Adding custom limo doors such as these can be big bucks. Choosing the right kit and shop for installation is essential. A good welder, body man and electrician are all part of a successful equation. Not to mention a lot of patience.

Limousine Disco floors

PANIC AT THE DISCO

If you are looking to give your limousine a little life, why not consider upgrading your floor? LED light technology has given us the ability to work wonders with just about anything. Although it seems easy, changing your floor should only been done by trained professionals.

We first must remove your current floor, cut your new design, paint your artwork, wire the lighting, add a control box, install and trim. Sounds easy enough but it’s not something you should try at home. We can custom imprint just about any design, logo or theme in your ride. Pricing will vary on the design, size of car and materials required. Below are just some of the many disco upgrades we’ve accomplished.

Limo Paint and Body Repair

There is nothing worse than a wavy body panel on what is suppose to be a gorgeous limousine. When you see this, it’s not always the limo operators fault. When faced with a limo paint repair, an operator may be forced to use a local body shop. Let’s face it; there isn’t a limo builder around every corner. Here are a few tips to consider before choosing your next limousine repair shop.

A GOOD BODY MAN

Avoiding a wavy side panel all comes down to the experience of a good limo body man. It takes time, effort and a keen eye to perfect the lines of a limousine. The right blocking tool is a must and the use of quality products applied is highly recommended for long term satisfaction. Unfortunately for bus owners, these methods haven’t been perfected for fiberglass shells. We get several requests and complaints about wavy buses, don’t worry, you are not alone…

STRESS CRACKS

These cracks are a huge thorn in the sides of many limo owners. Repairing these problems can take a lot of time and money. Be very cautious before jumping into a limo paint and body repair. You must figure out the exact reason as to why the paint or surface is stressed. The tough part for a repair facility is that many builders have different techniques. A crack can be as simple as vehicle settling more than expected or it can run a little deeper such as a lack of reinforcement behind the side panels.

QUALITY MATERIALS

It’s hard to always know what lies beneath your paint job. Different manufactures use various methods and products to accomplish a good finish. If all goes as planned, you won’t ever really know but when it fails, be prepared for a big job. In defense to some builders, you never know when a product line can fail no matter how great the material is. Bondo, fiberglass and filers are susceptible to failure. Be sure your shop follows each process required for proper application. When in doubt, call the distributor of the line and don’t hesitate to ask questions.
